Decision Made...

After working with this website and having one of my "technology challenged" friends check it out. (Thank you - you know who you are :-) It's a keeper. Thank goodness because I'd already ordered our busness cards.

We're on to the next phase - what to bring and how to bring it. I have a packing list from our previous trip that I am currently using to start this process - with updates. We really learned alot on the last trip about what we needed and what we really didn't need.

First....Luggage. Last trip we used travel backpacks. They did the job!! BUT..there's always a but. The zippers for the main compartments were OK but the expandable portion failed on mine about half way thru the trip. It gave me tons of room. More than I actually wanted and made carrying awkward. We each bought good trekking backpacks when we lived in Carlsbad, never ended up using them and for some reason thought they would be "too" big. In the meantime I bought another (different make) travel backpack. I packed the new one and then packed the same items in the older pack. There was only one pound difference. Plus the trekking pack is structurally much sturdier. So....back went the newer pack. Additionally, I'll have more room and it's much more comfortable on my shoulder - I was a little worried about that.

So glad that decision is made. P1010649
